House rules

Check-in is 4 p.m. Check-out is 10 a.m. The morning you arrive, Anna texts the door code. If you are running late, text us. We live in Russell Springs, about a short drive from the houses.

Quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. Sound carries on the water, and the next house is closer than it looks from the deck. Music stays inside after ten. No fireworks. The coves echo, and the woods get dry in late summer.

On a real stay we hold a $250 demo deposit and return it after a walk-through if the house is as you found it. This website never collects that deposit. If something breaks, tell us the same day. A lamp is easier to replace when we hear about it then.

On a real stay, cancel 14 days before check-in and the stay is refunded. Inside 14 days we keep the demo deposit. Weather on the lake does not cancel the house. The house is the reservation. The boat is not.

The sleeps number includes every person, infants too, and it already counts the sofa sleeper. Please do not add a tent or an extra mattress. Two cars fit in the drive. One boat trailer fits on the gravel if you tell us the length ahead of time. Don't park on the grass after a rain. The yard will rut.

Each house has a gas grill. We leave the first tank full. If you empty it, the refill is yours. Please shut the valve when the food is off.

The Bluff House and The Cove House have a fire pit. The Marina House does not. If Russell County is under a burn ban, the pit stays cold. We will say so in the arrival text.

No glass down by the water. The limestone will find a broken bottle before a bare foot does. Life jackets stay with the house.

Smoking is outside only, on the gravel, not on the porch and not on the dock. Please don't leave butts in the fire pit.

Bag the trash and leave it in the cans at the top of the drive. We haul it after you go.
